Consilium CFA is an independent research centre specialised in monetary stability in the Franc Zone. We combine expertise in time-series econometrics, Python software development, and secure infrastructure deployment (Kubernetes/HSM) to design transparent and sovereign monetary policy tools for central banks.
Our founder, Aymar Makanda, is a statistician-economist, former Senior Statistical Analyst at the National Bank of Canada, and a PhD candidate in econometrics. He designed the entire "Digital CFA Franc" prototype: from the panel cointegration pipeline to the containerised rule engine, including the cryptographic audit trail.
Models validated by panel cointegration tests, bootstrapped Monte Carlo simulations, and dynamic optimisation (Bellman/LQR). The optimal Îș is not a guess â it is the unique solution to a central bank's intertemporal problem.
Open-source code, immutable audit trail, cryptographically signed parameters. Every rate decision can be verified by the IMF or the French Treasury using only the engine's public key.
Containerised microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Prometheus monitoring, Chaos Mesh resilience testing. The system is built for production, not for a research paper.
All components â models, code, data, and infrastructure â are designed to run inside the BEAC's own secure environment. No dependency on foreign cloud providers or external AI platforms.
To strengthen monetary sovereignty in the Franc Zone by providing central banks with transparent, mathematically optimal, and auditable monetary policy instruments. In a world of dollar-backed stablecoins and instant digital payments, the CFA franc must evolve into a sovereign digital currency that protects reserves, defends the euro peg, and remains fully under African control.
"Mathematics, not men, our monetary constitution."
